Wave One has Landed at Beta Beach! Testing Underway.

This morning the first wave of brave beta testers landed to officially put Empire Deluxe Enhanced Edition into beta. The group is made of of many Windows grunts, with an OSX team and a Linux team attached. They have been warned to expect hard resistance.

I anticipate this phase of the fighting to continue for at least two weeks.

What this also means is that the initial versions of source code for the AI and World Building DLLs has been released, along with the converter program to convert EDIE and EDEE maps to the current EDCE format. Those things can be found off the directory mentioned in this reddit thread.

So we are taking it to the enemy, and ultimately we will have total victory. I will report on our progress when I can.
